JAPANESE LESSON

cold

Today’s topic is “a cold”.

The corona is still going around, but also be careful getting a cold towards the severest season.

We call a cold “kaze” in Japanese.

EN: I got a cold.

JP: Kaze wo hikimashita.

Just so you know, you might use the word flu instead of a cold, but they are totally different meaning in Japan. If it is the flu a doctor will tell you influenza, but it is just a cold if the doctor says kaze. You have to isolate if you get a flu and will be treated as if you have the corona virus because you will not be permitted to go to schools.

The next topic is “rice porridge” in Japanese.
