Help students understand English 2

The following statement may cause debate, but ALTs are not teaching students English.

We are here to understand English through English speakers better and promote communication between other people who are not from Japan. The ministry of education hopes to help globalize the youth of Japan. Students must express their feelings in English to people of other countries without worrying about making a mistake.

The rule of understanding can be made so complex when it is simple. When a living thing does something at first, they don’t understand how to do it, but once they know, they do it. Walking, opening a can, direction to the nearest train station, and even a language. Many ALTs focus on saying, but not enough time is spent understanding.

Helping students understand what to say is essential, but giving them choices should come from the student’s minds.
