Japanese Greetings : Good way to say the Year end and New Year Greetings in Japan!

“Language is not a genetic gift, it is a social gift. Learning a new language is becoming a member of the club-the community of speakers of that language.”

Frank Smith

Use this greeting phrase when you say goodbye before the send-off of the old year and the other phrase is for the new year greetings after the winter vacation. It shows your appreciation to each other through this greetings phrase.

Year End Greetings:

ことし も おせわに なりました。よい おとし を おすごし ください。

Kotoshi mo osewani narimashita. Yoi otoshi wo osugoshi kudasai.

“I would like to thank you again for your support this year. I hope you have a happy new year.”

New year Greetings:

あけまして おめでとうございます。今年も よろしく お願いします。

Akemashite omedetougozaimasu. Kotoshimo yoroshiku onegaishimasu.

Happy New Year! I look forward to working with you again this year.

Here you can watch the video and practice how to say it with our Japanese Teacher!
