ALT Experience: Good Impact of ALTs in school.

Working as an Assistant Language Teacher in Japan gives a lot of impact to students. This time, we would like to hear one of our previous ALT about his experience. We do have a lot of experience and witness how our students grow as you are their ALT. Let`s hear from our Head Trainer what is his best experience as an ALT before:

One day, while doing Japanese teacher training at a school on how to do team teaching, he asked the teachers, “Who liked English?

Some raised their hands. He asked, who didn’t like English?” Some also raised their hands. He noticed one teacher didn’t raise their hand and ask, “Why didn’t you raised your hand?”

She answered, “I did like English when I was in 6th grade but no other time.”

He then asked, “Why?” and to his surprised she say,

“Because you were my teacher,” He then asked if she still remembers songs and games they did before. She said, “YES!” She still remembers their fun games and songs. Remember, an ALT has a huge impact on students will remain for a lifetime.

ALTs give students help they need that lasts a lifetime.
