This may sound so cliché, as we always hear this reminder in almost all the articles and tips on how create a perfect lesson as a teacher. Holding your flashcards properly may sound so simple but most of the ALTs would tend to do this very simple thing. By organizing your Flashcards, you are giving out an impression that you are also an organized person with an organized mind.

4. Avoid talking too much

As what the saying goes, less talk, less mistakes. Part of your Demo Lesson will be a very brief but concise self-introduction. It is normally modeled or based on your first working day as an ALT in which you will be introducing yourself to the Japanese students.

Please be reminded that you will be telling a story to students of a second language. You should always based your words according to the English level and abilities of your students.

The information that you will be telling to the students would be useless if they won’t understand you. Make your self-introduction and demo lesson as simple, short, and engaging as possible.

5. Dress to Impress
