Japanese sweet snacks vol.1
I am a big fan of sweet snacks so I will share my favorites with you. These are completely my personal choices, but hope you try them out when you find them.
- Takenoko no Sato(たけのこの里)
Takenoko no Sato consists of a triangular pyramid shaped cookie covered by chocolate. I somehow like the texture of the cookies, chocolate on the top and the fine grains around Takenoko no Sato!
- Choco Pie(チョコパイ)
Choco Pie is almost a small sponge cake and cream in between covered by chocolate. I recently tried the premium Choco Pie (thicker and softer sponge with more cream!) and it was one of the great hits for me! You should try this out if you are a fan of Choco Pie.
- Tabekko Dobutsu(たべっ子どうぶつ)
Tabekko Dobutsu is a thin baked butter cookie (biscut) shaped by various animals. It is very light, but I like the butter flavor with a little bit of saltiness which makes you cannot stop eating! We can also learn English while eating.
- Alfort(アルフォート)
Alfort is a whole wheat cookie covered by chocolate. I like the texture of the cookies, and the balance of the cookies and the chocolate is really good! They also have many different flavors so you should try them out not only the standard one.
I would say these are very popular ones and most Japanese know them. I have 8 more that I want to recommend so stay tuned!
