The 3 Best Studio Ghibli Movies

STUDIO GHIBLI is the most famous animation company in the world and it has put lots of masterpieces out into the world. Also, Ghibli has brought a tremendous number of foreign people to Japan and you might be a pert of it. Recently, a ranking of popular films in Ghibli was published online, so I would like to share the top 3 with you!

3rd: HOWL’S MOVING CASTLE (2004)

PLOT – The main character Sophie encounters a wizard named Howl on her way to visit her sister. Along the way home, she meets the Witch of the Waste and is transformed into a ninety-year-old woman. To break the curse, Sophie leaves home and enters Howl’s moving castle without invitation.

2nd: MY NEIGHBOR TOTORO (1988)

PLOT – In 1950s, university professor Tatsuo Kusakabe and his two daughters, Satsuki and Mei move into a new house close to the hospital where the girls’ mother, is hospitalized. One day, when Mei is playing outside, she sees a very big monster sleeping. She names it Totoro. After that, Satsuki and Mei come to have mysterious experience with Totoro.

1st: SPIRITED AWAY (2001)

PLOT – The main character Chihiro (10 years old) and her parents are traveling to their new home. Along the way, the car stops in front of a brooding tunnel which leads to the ghost world. They go through the tunnel and start to live in the ghost town to get back to the real world.
