The application process for hiring ALTs in Japan is quite an interesting one. As often as it may seem, attending an ALT interview can be a bizarre experience for most foreigners. Yes, quite peculiar at times.

One of the stages of the application process is doing a Demo Lesson. You will be given 3- 5 minutes chance to impress your recruiter through your presentation.

How to make your Demo Lesson as smoothly as possible? Check out these tips below:

A cheerful and engaging personality can be your edge in successfully doing and passing a demo lesson. Personality could play a huge role in being an ALT. Recruiters may not necessarily look for a faultless teacher instead they’re looking for a good and flexible applicants. Those who specifically fit the classrooms and the Japanese students.

2. BIG Effort in preparing your materials

Multiple Instructional Materials

Most recruiters would also appreciate an applicant who would try to give their best effort in preparing their materials. Your materials as applicants would reflect your personality and dedication as an Educator. As it would give the recruiters an overview of how you are going to be inside the classroom during the lessons.
